The congregation has an ongoing adult study group, led by the rabbi. Our topics change year to year, depending on the interests of the congregation. Past topics have included: Pirkei Avot, ethical dilemmas-Jewish solutions, Jewish storytelling, Mussar, selections from books of K’tuvim, and more. We have also recently begun study sessions in the month of Elul, helping us prepare for the High Holidays.
Preparation by lay leaders for Shabbat services is also a significant endeavor in adult study, both for the lay leaders and for the many congregants who participate in lively discussion of the d’var Torah.
